DCCF offers TWO SEPARATE courses. We offer both a 10 week Entry Level Dental Assisting course and a three day Expanded Duties and Radiology certification course. Students who complete the certification course earn their Expanded Duties Dental Auxiliary and Dental Radiology certifications.
The 10 week course is held three times a year on 10 consecutive Saturdays from 9:00am- 5:00pm, generally in January, May, and September. Immediately following each 10 week course, the certification course is offered.The certification course is held on a Saturday and Sunday followed by the following Saturday from 9:00am- 5:00pm.
Entry Level Dental Assisting:
Student must be at least 18 years of age.
Student must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Expanded Duties and X-Ray Certification for Dental Assistants:
Student must have completed the 10 Week Course "Entry Level Dental Assisting" or have had at least 3 months consecutive experience as a dental assistant and be able to perform all expanded duties.
The tuition for the 10 week course is $2595.00.
The tuition for the certification course is $495. The tuition covers all materials, texts and supplies.

The tuition for the Entry Level Dental Assisting course may be paid
$2595.00 at the time of registration.
$845.00 down payment to reserve your seat, then $175.00 at each class (10) payments.
Payments are due at the beginning of each class.
The tuition for the Expanded Duties and X-ray Certification course may be paid using one of the following arrangements:
$495.00 at the time of registration.
Pay $247.50 to reserve your seat. The remaining $247.50 must be paid at the first day of class.
To start, you can expect to make at least $18 an hour or $36,000 a year, which would work out to a 800% return on your tuition investment. As you gain experience in your position, you can expect to make $20-24 an hour.
We do offer assistance in placing our students as opportunities become available. Area dentists often contact our school when looking for assistants. We then forward this information to our students. As part of our training program, we give our students assistance with resumes and instruction in interview techniques.

The 10 week course is licensed by the state of Florida through the Commission for Independent Education in Tallahassee, license #3377.
The certification course is an approved course by The Florida Board of Dentistry.
