Tell me a little about the course
We are a 10 week entry level dental assisting course that is given on Saturdays. After you graduate, you’ll be qualified to get a job in any dental office either as a dental assistant or in a front office position.
What is the tuition of the course?
The cost of the dental assisting program is $2595 which includes all books and supplies. We do have payment plans available as well.
What can I expect for a starting salary once I graduate?
To start, you can expect to make at least $12/ hour or $25,000 a year which would work out to a 900% return on your tuition investment. Once you gain experience in your position, you can expect to make up to $18-20 per hour.
Will I get certified?
In order to be certified for expanded duties and x-rays in Florida, you must have at least 6 months experience on the job. At that time, there are several weekend courses available where you can get your certification. We find a many times that your employer will pay for you to take this course. The title of Certified Dental Assistant or CDA is a gained by taking an examination. This is a national rather than a state organization. You are able to work in any dental office in Florida without any of these certifications.
Do you offer job placement assistance?
We do offer job placement assistance free of charge. All of the dentists in the area know about our dental assistant school and will often request a list of our graduates when they need a dental assistant.
Is your course accredited?
We are licensed by the state of Florida through the Commission for Independent Education in Tallahassee, license #3377. |
